Your files
The server answers only the device it runs on by default. Nothing is written to your media folders, and file names, folders and library ids are never given to plugins.
Plugins
A plugin can only reach the HTTPS hosts it lists, and only with the permissions you approved. The library permission exposes titles and years only. The Trakt plugin is told what you play (title, year, season/episode, progress) and may send it to api.trakt.tv.
Metadata and art
Local NFO and artwork are used first. TMDb is asked for what is missing. With Online art switched on (off by default), artist, album and song names are sent to Deezer and Apple's iTunes search.
Subtitles
Looked up through a shared cloud worker with one shared OpenSubtitles account, so you never enter one. Release names are sent to find a match.
PEK Cloud
Optional. Passwords are stored as salted PBKDF2-SHA256 hashes and sessions as hashes of random tokens; passcodes as salted hashes. Sign-in needs a code emailed through Brevo. Cloud backup and extra profiles are the paid part (PEK Cloud): you pay on this website through Stripe, which handles your card; we never see or store card details, only your plan and a Stripe customer id.
Updates
At start PEK TV asks GitHub for the release list. The APK is checked against GitHub's SHA-256, and Android rejects an APK signed with a different key.
Feedback
If you send feedback we store your message, its type, the app version and your email if you give one, plus the time, in a private Firebase database that only the PEK TV owner can read. It is used to fix bugs and to reply if you asked. Email us to have yours deleted. Nothing else is collected.
This website
Static pages. The Download page calls the public GitHub API from your browser. No cookies or analytics are set by this site's own code; Bootstrap and other libraries load from public CDNs. The Feedback page sends what you type to Google Firebase (Firestore), see Feedback below.
PEK Industries is not associated with any illegal activity involving torrents. PEK TV does not host, provide or link to any content, and ships with no search provider or index. You are responsible for what you play.
